8-km amazing cycling path along the coast for family in Shenzhen

The five parks interconnected in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, include Guiwan Park (桂灣公園), Qianhai Stone Park (前海石公園), Performing Arts Park (演藝公園), Shuangjie River Park (雙界河公園), and OH Bay (歡樂港灣).

The recommended 8-kilometre cycling route includes 4 km from Qianhai Stone Park to OH Bay and another 4 km from the "Mountain-Sea City - Qianhai Section" greenway. These pathway has many recreational facilities which is good for kids for sure!

Cycling by the sea from Qianhai Stone Park to Performing Arts Park 

In Qianhai Stone Park, after preparing your own bicycle or a shared bike, follow the "Cycling Path" signs and blue-green lines on the road to start the parent-child cycling journey.

This route includes roads near the coastline and bridges, with wide and flat paths that ensure safety and comfort while cycling.

On the large lawn of the Performing Arts Park, a 20-metre tall inflatable yellow duck lies on the grass, with many people sitting nearby enjoying the scenery.

The yellow duck is actually an inflatable amusement park, with bouncing beds, inflatable slides, and other recreational facilities. Children cycling here can take a short break and have some fun.

Wavy greenway in Shuangjie River Park 

Following the route, you will arrive at Shuangjie River Park.

The main feature here is the wavy greenway, which is not only colorful but also has a wavy surface suitable for biking or scootering, making it thrill and fun.

Children can experience the joy of cycling while speeding along the wavy greenway.

Other recreational facilities here include an artificial sandpit, climbing ropes, swings, and vast gardens, making it a truly enjoyable amusement park, and most importantly, they are all available for free!

Crossing a bridge, and you will reach OH Bay, where the ferris wheel is right in front of you. There is also a free amusement park for Children there, with the recreational facilities as fun as those in Shuangjie River Park, making it another paradise for kids.

Here, it is highly suggested to have lunch at the OH Bay mall for parents as children have fun in the playground.

Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverside Expressway Greenway

After the lunch and across a section of the road, you will arrive at the greenway under the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverside Expressway bridge. It is the Qianhai Section of the greenway.

The road here is suitable for cycling, with clear signs making 0 km, 1 km and 2 km, etc., indicating how long are you cycling.  

Shortly after cycling, you will see a row of colorful pipes on both sides of the greenway, where they are just like balance beams that allow children to take challenge.

There are also climbing facilities here, and so it got the name as "Rainbow Pipe Playground".

When you are in "2 km", you will see another playground called "Blue Basketball Court". There are some outdoor basketball courts for play, and also there are a large open space for kids to run and is another good place to take a break.

Playgrounds available at 3 km and 4 km areas

At the "3 km", there will be a small wooden park called the "Jumping Playground (跳跳公園)". There will be a lot of wooden climbing facilities, slides, and obstacle courses for kids to play.

When you are in "4 km", you will see another Playground. The playground is made of woods, and there are many balance beams and trampolines. You will feel like in natural environment.

This section of the road is straight, flat, and is safe even though you are riding at full speed. 

At this moment, you will soon reach the end of 8 kilometres of the cycling path.

On the whole, there are 6km Greenway, which is totally straight and easy, full of playgrounds and under the shelter, you are surely able to enjoy cycling with your family even in the rainy day.
