As the craze for the Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2 has swept the world, many places in the Greater Bay Area have seen the emergence of graffiti walls themed around the film's characters, becoming new highlights of the cities.
In which cities have they appeared? And what are their unique features?
Shenzhen: Shangfen community & Mission Hills of Ancient Ruins
In Shenzhen, the first place to display the characters of Ne Zha 2 on a graffiti wall was the Shangfen community in Longhua District, which is home to the famous Dafen Oil Painting Village (大芬油畫村), where there is a large number of painters.
A colossal Ne Zha-themed graffiti mural, standing 2 meters in height and sprawling 10 meters in width, has emerged on the wall in Xitou Guadi Village of Shangfen Community (上芬社區西頭瓜地村).
The graffiti wall was created by two 2000s painters, whom they painted full set of popular characters including Ne Zha, Ao Bing, Taiyi Zhenren, Shen Gongbao, and Lady Rocky.
Each character vividly portrayed in a sequence that has transformed an ordinary wall into a captivating work of art.
They also incorporated classic lines from the film into the graffiti so that the audience could instantly relate to the plot of the film while enjoying the graffiti.
Another graffiti wall at Mission Hills of Ancient Ruins is located on a 6-meter-long mottled old walls next to the west gate public toilet, which is also created by the two young painters. It looks even brighter when it is lit up at night.
Guangzhou: Baiyun District
In terms of length, the Ne Zha 2 graffiti wall in Guangzhou can be considered as the longest one in the Greater Bay Area!
On a 30-meter-long wall on Nanling West Road, just next to Nanling Supermarket on the Longgui Street of Baiyun District.
The vivid drawings and imposing fonts have attracted many people, turning the small village into a tourist attraction.
If you are near the MTR station, there is also a Ne Zha graffiti wall near the Baogang Avenue station. Though it is smaller in scale, it is truly worthy to go.
Foshan: Nanhai & Gaoming Districts
Ne Zha 2 characters are graffitied in many districts in Foshan.
The graffiti wall in Shishan Township, Nanhai District, depicts the six characters of Ne Zha 2, including Ne Zha, Ao Bing, Shen Gongbao, Taiyi Zhenren, Ao Guang, and Ao Run. All characters are all vividly portrayed.

In the Binhe Park Eco-Cultural Creative Park (濱河Park生態文創園) in Gaoming District, there is currently the most comprehensive Ne Zha 2-character graffiti wall.
In addition to the main characters such as Ne Zha, there are also a host of cute characters that appeared in the movie. Many of the graffiti artists have made secondary creations of the characters, which are very creative!
Characters of Ne Zha 2 can also be found in the Chancheng district, where the high walls of buildings are painted in various shapes, creating a special visual impact.

Zhongshan: Xiqu subdistrict
A wall in the Longchang neighbourhood of Zhongshan's Xiqu (western) subdistrict (西區街道) features Ne Zha on wind and fire wheels, Ao Bing, Taiyi Zhenren, and Shen Gongbao, to name a few.
The vibrant characters on the wall have attracted a large number of people to come and take photos, some children even dressed up in Ne Zha costumes and posed in front of the Ne Zha graffiti wall.
Xiqu subdistrict in Zhongshan is a tourist area, home to the famous Qijiang Park and Zhongshan Museum of Art. If you come to see the Ne Zha 2 graffiti wall, don't miss the beautiful scenery around there.
