The Wanqingsha branch line of the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway has been opened to traffic on October 30!
After the opening, it will take as fast as 20 minutes to travel directly from Nansha, Guangzhou to Shenzhen Airport, and as short as 15 minutes from Nansha to Zhongshan.
To cope with this, on the day of the opening, two cross-city bus lines from Nansha to Shenzhen will be opened both in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Let's see the routes and charges.
Nansha to Zhongshan in 15 minutes
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Nansha Line, also known as the "Nan-Zhong Expressway (Wanqingsha Branch)", is a branch of the Nan-Zhong Expressway (Main Line) connecting to the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link and is also the interface of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link entering Guangzhou Nansha.
The whole line has three toll stations: Caihong, Nansha Wetland, and Nansha South. In addition, a Wanqingsha service area will be set up for drivers to rest halfway.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Nansha Line and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link form a Y-shaped road network.
Guangzhou residents can choose the Nansha Harbour Expressway, pass through the Xinken Interchange Hub of the Nanzhong Expressway or the Wanhuan West Road Interchange Hub, and transfer to the Wanjiaosha Spur Line of the Nanzhong Expressway, and then pass through the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor to arrive at Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and other places.
After the opening, the car journey from Guangzhou Nansha to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport will be shortened to a minimum of 20 minutes.
The journey from Guangzhou Nansha to Zhongshan city centre will only take about 15 minutes, making travel between the three places more convenient and facilitating the formation of a one-hour living circle in the Greater Bay Area.
The Nansha to Shenzhen Qianhai Bay cross-city bus line
With the support of the transportation departments of the two cities, on the day of the opening, Shenzhen Bus Group's Pengxiang Travel Company will launch two cross-border bus lines: Guangzhou (Nansha) -Shenzhen cross-city bus, and Guangzhou (Nansha) Shenzhen Airport Express.
The cross-city bus line initially only stops at three points: Shenzhen Qianhai Bay Metro Station, Guangzhou Hengli Metro Station, and Guangzhou Jiaomen Bus Terminal.
The bus is a brand new 39-seater, equipped with airline-style seats to provide a comfortable travelling experience for citizens.
The service runs from 7 am to 9:30 pm, and the one-way fare is 25 CNY. Passengers can pay with coins on the bus or make an online reservation via Guangzhou-Shenzhen Bus (廣深公交) of Shenzhen Bus (深巴出行) WeChat Mini Programme.
The Nansha to Shenzhen Bao'an Airport bus line
The other route is the Guangzhou (Nansha) -Shenzhen Airport Express, which is jointly operated by the Shenzhen Bus Group, Shenzhen Airport Group, and Guangzhou Bus Group, running from Guangzhou Nansha City Terminal to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.
After the official opening, 36 round trips are planned daily, with a one-way journey time of approximately one hour, greatly facilitating citizens and tourists traveling between the two airports.
The airport express fare is 60 CNY one-way. Tickets can be purchased on-site or reserved online through the 'Shen-Zhong Express' service on the Shenzhen Bus (深巴出行) WeChat Mini Programme.
