Phoenix Bay Creative District (鳯巢灣創意新天地) is located in the Dongxing community of Dongfeng Town, Xinghua West Road, East Phoenix, Zhongshan.
You are highly advised to take a ferry from Sha Kou Ferry Terminal (沙口渡口) in Xiaolan Town (小欖鎮) for CNY 2 to Dongfeng Town first. You can take a good view of sunset on the river before the journey starts.
The Phoenix Bay Creative District is once a street area of Dongfeng Town, with a history of hundreds of years. In the 1960s, it was the economic and cultural center of Dongfeng Town. After the revitalization done by the Zhongshan municipal government, Dongfeng Town is developed into Phoenix Bay Creative District in 2018.
After getting off the ferry at the Sha Kou dock, walk down a rainbow stair and you will arrive at the Phoenix Bay Creative District.
Zhongshan | Museum highlights the Century-Old streets of the town
Along the street, you can see is the historical legacy of Dongfeng Town (東鳳鎮).
There are museums highlighting the living of the past here: the Supply and Marketing Cooperative, granaries, ferries, and old distilleries.
In the Dongfeng Town Folk Exhibition Hall, you can see many old settings of the town are preserved, and you can feel how people living by seeing the clothing, food, housing, and living conditions of Dongfeng Town.
Zhongshan | Phoenix Bay Night Market drives trendy culture
Phoenix Bay has an around 5-kilometre-long riverside greenway. Take a walk along the greenway, admire the dusk scenery, and experience lively moments.
When the night comes, the lights of the streets and shops outline a colorful bustling scene. A night market named "Phoenix Bay City Never Sleeps" will drive you to a world that surrounded by shining LED lights.
"Phoenix Bay City Never Sleeps" (「鳳巢灣不夜天」) is also an international food street, with various stalls displaying different foods, exquisite cuisines, snacks, desserts, and is a foodie paradise for young people.

Walking along the street, there are western style bars, music restaurants, and ferry pubs built along the river. People gather together to chat with wine and drinks and enjoy leisure moments.
Every Friday and Sunday night, there will be a special funfair, selling BBQ snacks, handmade items, and game stalls. During festivals, there are also music performances and fireworks displays.
The Phoenix Bay Creative District is becoming a new trendy cultural landmark in Zhongshan.
