Given its history and scale, The Happy Valley Playa Maya Water Park, also known as Maya Beach Water Park, is one of the leading water parks in Shenzhen.

The Happy Valley Playa Maya Water Park is a state-of-the-art Mayan-themed water park that features a whole load of awesome rides and activities, making it great destination for a fun day out.

There are Playa Maya Water Park in 8 major cities including Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Wuhan. 

In Shenzhen, the Happy Valley Playa Maya Water has been established for 20 years, and it is the first water park ever in the city.

Based on the mysterious Maya culture, people can experience the long-past Mayan civilization and get an exciting sense of a primitive and desolate world. The buildings and statues here are all in Mayan architecture styles. 

Despite its long history, The Happy Valley Playa Maya Water Park is recognized as the city's most well-equipped water park. There are dozens of amusement facilities in the park.

Highlights include a rainbow-colored multi slide where you can race your friends in a rubber ring down a steep, 15m long chute; a flume that features a loop-the-loop; and a circular bowl chute that has a vertical drop.

Children with a height of less than 1.2 metres or elderly aged 70 or above can enter the park for free, if only they are accompanied by parents.

There is a Shenzhen's most dreamy water park located in Longgang District, called Star Heights Dream Water World. The water park is a pink-themed parent-child water world, pink and purple as its main color tones.

Star Heights Dream Water World is also an extra-large water park in Shenzhen, with an area of 30,000 square meters. It has three major themes: Meet Dolphin Bay-Dynamic Surfing Theater, Unicorn Castle-Romantic Rainbow Water Castle, and Flamingo Forest-Dream Forest Rafting. 

In the "Meeting the Dolphins Bay", there is a wave pools where you can experience being hit by waves. 

The "Unicorn Castle" is highlighted by the romantic rainbow slides and the giant pink unicorn. Here you can see a lot of pink cartoon figures and giant pink unicorns, such beautiful settings make it a great place for taking photos.

Located on Sands Bay in Shenzhen's Dapeng New District, which is one of China's eight major beach landscapes, CITIC Sands Bay Water World boasts a beautiful coastline of 2.2 kilometers and novel facilities, an honor which led to the Water World winning the national water park crown award.

CITIC Sands Bay Water World is a large-scale outdoor water interactive entertainment center that integrates exciting water performances and entertainment projects.

Guanlan Ecological Water Park: Must try award-winning "Giant Horn Slide"

Another major water park is Guanlan Ecological Water Park.

The Guanlan Ecological Water Park is located inside the National 4A-level tourists Attractions in Mainland China: Shenzhen Guanlan Shanshui Pastoral Tourism and Cultural Park. It covers an area of over 20,000 square meters.

It is a large-scale eco-friendly aquatic park that combines interaction, sightseeing, and fun. 

The park introduces many incredibly designed water facilities, including different water slides, water playing activities, and different fun games suitable for tourists of different age levels.

The super giant horn slide which has won an international gold award, the "Rainbow-liked colourful Slide" as well as "Sky Whirl", all are signature of the park that you must not miss.

Furthermore, there are classical water facilities like children's water village, drifting river, wave pool, Giant Gorge Drift River and a loft of water slides, and more.
