On November 23, 2020, the last batch of impoverished counties in the China was removed from the country's poverty list.
This batch of impoverished counties is located in Guizhou Province, namely Ziyun County, Nayong County, Weining County, Hezhang County, Yanhe County, Rongjiang County, Congjiang County, Qinglong County, and Wangmo County.
Since then, all 66 impoverished counties in the entire Guizhou Province have been lifted out of poverty, which also represents that all 832 impoverished counties determined by the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development nationwide have been lifted out of poverty.
This batch of impoverished counties has received rigorous assessment to make sure that their overall poverty incidence rates are 0 (below the national impoverished county standard of 3%), the error rate and the omission rate are both 0 (below the national impoverished county standard of 2%), and the average public recognition is 99.12% (above the national impoverished county standard of 90%).
After meeting these national standards and requirements, they received on-site evaluations and were recommended to be removed from the list by three third-party assessment agencies.
As of the end of 2020, the per capita net income of registered and archived households lifted out of poverty in this batch of impoverished counties was 11,487.39 CNY, 7,487.39 CNY higher than the poverty alleviation standard for that year, and 1,562.01 CNY higher than the per capita net income of the impoverished population across the province, which was 9,925.38 CNY.
