To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the Hong Kong Palace Museum will launch a new special exhibition, "The Origins of Chinese Civilisation", starting from 25 Sep.

The exhibition focuses on the fruitful achievements of archaeology in the "Origins of Chinese Civilisation Project". It is the second "Chinese Civilization" series exhibition following the special exhibition of Sanxingdui.

Presenting the fruitful results of archaeology in three major sections

The Hong Kong Palace Museum will launch the "The Origins of Chinese Civilisation" special exhibition from September 25. The exhibition is divided into three sections, which respectively display the historical context of the origin, formation, and development of Chinese civilization.

These spectacular loans represent nine archaeological cultures and nine major archaeological sites across the country. Nearly, all the loans are displayed in Hong Kong for the first time.
