On August 6, Chinese diving sensation Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi competed in the finals of the women's 10m platform diving at the Paris Olympics.

Quan ranked first with 425.6 points and successfully defended her diving gold while teammate Chen won the silver.

The Back 3 ½ Somersault Tuck (207C) was once the nightmare of Quan. She once shed tears in the competition due to a mistake in 207C. Quan's coach Chen Ruolin said that Quan was tormented by 207C every day.

However, in this final competition, Quan scored 92.40 points for the 207C in her fourth dive, successfully overcoming her fear!

Notably, Quan has accumulated a total of 3 gold medals in two Olympics. At the age of 17 years and 131 days, she surpassed Fu Mingxia (17 years and 350 days), becoming the youngest triple gold winner in the history of the Chinese Olympics.

Brazilian player Bruna Alexandre, who lost her right arm, competes in both the Olympics and Paralympics this year!

On August 5, in round 16 of women's team table tennis at the Paris Olympics, Alexandre represented Brazil in both singles and doubles.

Even though Brazil was defeated by South Korea and eliminated from the tournament, the audience was moved by Bruna Alexandre's fighting spirit and gave her a standing ovation.

Alexandre's right arm was amputated due to thrombosis when she was 3 months old. She picked up table tennis at the age of 7 and has been a Paralympic athlete for a long time, winning a silver medal in women's singles in the Tokyo Olympics.

Alexandre once said that her biggest dream was to participate in the Olympics, not the Paralympics. To date, she has fulfilled her dream and made history at the Paris Olympics.

On August 4, in the final of the men's 4×100m medley relay, the Chinese team, featuring Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Sun Jiajun, and Pan Zhanle, eventually won the gold medal in a time of 3 minutes, 27.46 seconds.

This is the first time the Chinese team has been on the podium for this event in the Olympics, and it has also ended the 10 consecutive championships of the United States in this event.

The last swimmer to enter the pool was the "Chinese Flying Fish" Pan Zhale who, in the last turn, caught up with the leading French and American teams, displaying astounding strength and helping China win the gold medal.

On August 4, at the finals of the women's uneven bars at the Paris Olympics, Chinese 17-year-old Qiu Qiyuan, with her steady performance, won the silver medal with a score of 15.500.

This silver medal did not come easy for Qiu. The uneven bars are Qiu's specialty, but she made errors in both the team final and the all-around final. She said before the game that she was ready to "transform pressure into momentum and believe in myself."

On August 4, in the finals of the men's table tennis singles at the Paris Olympics, Chinese player Fan Zhendong beat the Swedish player Truls Moregard, securing his first Olympic men's singles gold medal, becoming the Grand Slam player who has won the World Cup, the World Table Tennis Championship, and the Olympic singles championship.

Fan’s coach, Wang Hao, lifted Fan up high in celebration after the win.

On August 3, in the women's singles final of the Paris Olympics, Chinese player Zheng Qinwen defeated the Croatian player Donna Vekic to win gold, historically achieving China's first gold in this event.

This is the second gold medal for China in the Olympic tennis competition following Li Ting/Sun Tiantian's women's doubles victory at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

On July 31, in the round of 32 for women's single table tennis, the 61-year-old Luxembourgish Chinese athlete Ni Xialian, otherwise known as the "table-tennis grandma", played against the No.1 in the world ranking, 23-year-old Sun Yingsha of the Chinese team. This match was also called the "grandmother-grandson battle".

Although she couldn't defeat Sun, Ni won warm applause and praise from the audience after the match.

Ni was born in Shanghai and once helped the Chinese team win the women's team championship at the 1983 World Championships. In 2000, Ni participated in the Olympics for the first time as a representative of Luxembourg, and this year she is participating in the Olympics for the 6th time.

On July 31, in the final of women's synchronised 10m platform diving in the Paris Olympics, Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi won the gold medal together.

They showed a "perfect synchronised" version of the "water splash disappearance" technique, once again demonstrating the strong strength of China's dream diving team!

On July 30, at the finals of the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics, 51-year-old Turkish player Yusuf Dikec needed no special lenses or big ear protectors to win the silver medal.

Yusuf Dikec has gone viral on social media for his seemingly casual attitude.

On July 29, during the men's short surf qualifying round at the Paris Olympics, a photo was taken by AFP photographer Jerome Brouillet of Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina leaping through the air, catching a moment where he appears to overcome gravity, floating in the air with his surfboard.

Gabriel Medina was thus granted the title of "Superman". This photo has been called the best photo of this year's Olympics.
