Zhang Hu, a Standing Committee member of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and its Deputy Governor, shared that after five years of hard work, the overall strength of the Greater Bay Area has been continually strengthening. Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao has deepened, and the construction of the first-class international bay areas and world-class city clusters has taken solid steps.

According to statistics, the economic total of the Greater Bay Area rose from 10.8 trillion CNY in 2018 to 14 trillion CNY in 2023, again creating one-ninth of the total economic output of China with less than 0.6% of its land area.
